The Lead Platform & System Architect is responsible for defining and evolving WIK’s technology platforms and system architectures across product categories. The role ensures that future products are built on scalable, reusable and robust technical foundations, while reducing technical risk, accelerating development and supporting ODM growth.
The position acts as the technical authority for platform architecture, system integration and long-term technology evolution across hardware, firmware and software domains.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Architecture & System Engineering
Define and maintain reusable platform architectures across product categories
Drive system-level integration of mechanics, electronics, firmware and software Establish architecture principles, standards and design guidelines
Ensure scalability, modularity and reuse across projects
Technology & Platform Roadmap
Define platform evolution strategies aligned with technology and business needs
Identify future technologies, modules and system capabilities
Support innovation and pre-development activities
Project & RFQ Support
Support RFQ and early development activities through feasibility and architecture assessments
Identify technical risks and guide concept maturation
Support technical decision-making and architecture reviews
Supplier & Partner Governance
Review supplier concepts and technical solutions
Define platform constraints and interface requirements
Support technical partner selection and capability assessment
Knowledge & Capability Development
Develop architecture guidelines, reference designs and best practices
Support the growth of platform engineering and system engineering capabilities
Mentor engineers across disciplines
